Ionuț Mircea Marcu is a PhD Student in History at the University of Bucharest and École des hautes études en sciences sociales Paris. He has graduated from the University of Bucharest with a BA in History, a BA in Political Sciences and MA in History of Communism in Romania (as valedictorian). Previously, he has worked as a researcher at the Centre for Contemporary History and the Institute for the Investigation of the Communist Crimes and the Memory of the Romanian Exile. During his studies, he received scholarships and fellowships from Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Institute for the Investigation of the Communist Crimes and the Memory of the Romanian Exile, École Doctorale en Sciences Sociales Bucarest and Centre Régional Francophone de Recherches Avancées en Sciences Sociales.
